Grandpa's ROCK Party! - Remembering Grandpa Wiltbank

Last weekend was a special one for those Grandchildren of Glynn Witlbank. See, he was an artist, and he OFTEN painted on rocks. Several months ago some of the family found many of these rocks he'd left behind and planned a "Rock Party" - this Rock Party consisted of the family getting together and all the grandchildren having the opportunity to pick their own rock of grandpa's to keep. While we were doing this, the great grandchildren got to paint rocks themselves and then finally what was left of grandpa's rocks, the great grandchildren were able to pick one too. It went really well - Everyone was happy to get one of grandpa's rocks and even the young children really enjoyed being able to paint their own. It was one of the best family get together's I've ever been to!

Grandma made a comment how she had heard about some Rock and Roll party advertised on the radio, but that she was greatful for THIS particular Rock Party we had and how it outdid any other "rock party" ;) So my brother in his wit had to comment back, about how there's an old song that goes "Your grandma don't dance and your daddy don't rock and roll" and how he always thought that was a funny song. Because if you know my grandma and my daddy - my grandma WAS a dancer and my daddy DEFINETLY can Rock and Roll!!! (He still does)!

It was really a wonderful evening and even ended with Pinata for the kids and grandpa's favorite desert.

Then it came time for the great grandchildren to pick their rocks....Adona didn't take long to decide -- she chose the "PINK ONE!!" of course!! ;)

Chandler was much the same... except he chose the "BIGGEST ONE"

This was the one he chose Photobucket
