walking on water...
If there were waves,
at this time I wasn't aware-
For my eyes only focused,
on the Master standing there.
The sea was calm -
and it all seemed still -
As the Master walked
and I asked, If I will...
He bid me to come,
so I started with faith -
But when I looked back
I saw the ship did shake.
All around me I now saw
the waves toss me by,
Suddenly scared I fell
...and I began to cry
Master save me,
For I can't do this now.
'But Where is thy faith?
Where dist thou doub?'
He streched forth his hand,
toward me he came
Pulling me to him,
while saying my name
Now together,
we headed to the shore.
So we went on steadily,
the waves no more
At least if they were,
I no longer could see--
For I now walked on water,
with the Savior beside me.

If you know me...you know I'm just a little girl, who grew up in a little town...Dreaming little dreams, that meant big things. I tried to grow up and moved away for several years... And then somewhere along the way...I learned that in this big, big world...I'm still just a little girl ;o)
Then life threw some changes, as life seems to do...and these changes have now brought me back my roots. The way I think about life, has evolved from my beliefs and the leaders I've followed through my life. One being President Hinkley.
"Life is like an old time rail journey...delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas, and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride." I love to just enjoy the simple pleasures life has to offer. I've learned that no matter what life throws at you... if you count your blessings, you'll always find happiness.

My kids are my biggest joy.
Chandler and Adona - January 2008
Chandler is my little ham! He's got such the sense of humor for a little guy. He's a 6 year old who knows how to laugh, tease, have fun. Yet he's so intelligent. One of the smartest I've ever met :o) He's also got a heart of gold!!!

Adona's my little princess...she's a handful of mischief I tell you...she knows what she wants and she knows how to get it...but she's as princess as they come!!

Just one of her ways of knowing how to get what she wants!!!
My mother's day hat!
Friday night, after he'd brought home his mother's day gift that he'd made in school, and had hid it from me. When we were going to bed, and we were saying our prayers together as we always do. And Chandler's prayer went something like this....
"...Thank you for mother's day. Please bless that mommy will be happy that it will be mother's day. Please bless that she will love her present that I made her, and that it will be a surpirse...and that she won't know that it's a hat with something inside of it..." I'm kneeling right next to him as he's saying this! LOL.Then last night after saying almost the same prayer again, he told me how excited he was for mother's day. Then he wanted me to try to guess what the surprise was. I kept guessing wrong answers...then I finally said, "is it a hat with something in it?" Then all shocked he asked, "HOW DID YOU KNOW?!" Then he wanted me to guess what was in it. I guessed silly things, like rocks, coal, bugs, worms, and of course he kept saying no. But wanted me to keep guessing until I got it right. so then I said "flowers". And he got all dissappointed, with his pout face, lower lip pouting out..."oh, how did you know." Then his expression immedietly changed to a happy one as he said, "Just kidding...I was tricking you!!! ...I'm tricking you so that you don't know that it really might be flowers in the hat! It will still be a surprise!"
He's such a funny kid!
I was very surprised though...I got a much more beautiful hat than I ever imagined!!!
